Bojangles: 2Q Earnings Snapshot

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) _ Bojangles Inc. (BOJA) on Thursday reported second-quarter profit of $2.4 million.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based company said it had profit of 6 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 13 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 18 cents per share.

The chicken and biscuits restaurant operator posted revenue of $140.5 million in the period, topping Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $140.4 million.

Bojangles expects full-year earnings in the range of 66 cents to 73 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $542 million to $547 million.

Bojangles shares have risen 11 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $13.10, rising slightly in the last 12 months.
