August 8, 2018

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — A Tucson man has been sentenced to a decade in prison in a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a bicyclist more than two years ago.

The Arizona Daily Star reported Tuesday that John David Ward was sentenced in Pima County Superior Court.

Ward was charged with aggravated assault and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death or serious physical injury.

Authorities say Ward ran a stop sign and hit a bicyclist with his car in May 2016.
