Fundraiser Planned For Project Ecuador
Take your Valentine out for supper, show your love help a great cause — Concert for Project Ecuador: Budd’s Pizza, 134 Page Ave., Kingston, will present a Valentine’s show at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, to help raise money for Project Ecuador. Project Ecuador helps to buy uniforms and school supplies for children and sponsors cataract surgeries. Non Stop Duo will start the show at 7 p.m., followed by Mark the Shark at 8, and El Tasbasco rounds out the show at 9 doing his tribute to Elvis. There is no cover, but donations for Project Ecuador are appreciated. Come out for some great food and music to support a great cause. New York City trip A trip to the Big Apple is planned Saturday, May 18. Participants can spend the day in New York City on their own. The bus will leave from the Pittston Park and Ride at 6:30 a.m. and will drop off travelers at 49th Street and 8th Avenue in New York City. Performing Arts Series, located in the Kirby Center for Creative Arts, 260 N. Sprague Ave., Kingston, will feature three acts for 2018-19. Pennsylvania Ballet II will present its rendition of “Prince Charming” on Sunday, March 24. This ballet for young audiences is performed by Pennsylvania Ballet II and choreographed by Assistant Artistic Director Samantha Dunster, with an original score by Kermit Poli. Seminary visitation day Wyoming Seminary Upper School in Kingston and Lower School in Forty Fort are offering area elementary, middle and high school students and their families an opportunity to visit either campus during the February Visitation Day on Monday, Feb. 18 (Presidents Day). At the Lower School, 1560 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, Visitation Day will begin at 8:30 a.m. Students who have already applied to attend the Lower School are invited to experience a typical day at Lower School by shadowing a student in his/her current grade level and joining with other students for lunch.
