WV Purchasing Division to conduct webinar
CHARLESTON — The West Virginia Purchasing Division announced that it will conduct a webinar for vendors wanting to do business with the state of West Virginia. This free webinar, titled Doing Business with West Virginia, is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 7.
The webinar, which will be offered via WebEx, is designed for current and potential vendors to learn about the state procurement process and how they can maximize their opportunity to bid and perform work for West Virginia state government.
Some of the topics addressed will include how vendors can market their commodities and services to West Virginia state agencies; register as a vendor with the Purchasing Division; submit bids/proposals for solicitations; and expanding vendors’ customer base.
Officials said the goal of the webinar is to foster open and fair competition in the state procurement process. By offering these free informational webinars to vendors, the Purchasing Division is doing its part to ensure that vendors understand the competitive bidding procedures and encourage participation in this process.
Registration is open to all vendors. However, space is limited and given on a firstcome, first-served basis. For more information, contact Samantha Knapp at 304-558-7022 or Samantha.S.Knapp@wv.gov. To register, visit www.state.wv.us/admin/purchase/VendorWebinarPromotion.pdf.
