Wolves Coach Tossed for Arguing
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Minnesota Timberwolves coach Flip Saunders was ejected from the team’s game against the Detroit Pistons on Monday night.
Saunders was so frustrated with the officiating in the third quarter that he tossed his suit coat into the seats, ran onto the court and went into a profanity-filled tirade.
Official Scott Foster gave him a technical and then tossed him with 5:39 left in the third quarter when the usually mild-mannered Saunders continued his harangue.
Saunders was upset with the officiating all game. His final outburst came when Radoslav Nesterovic collided heavily with Jerry Stackhouse and Grant Hill but no foul was called.
It was the third time Saunders has been ejected in his NBA coaching career.
