Hudson Man Seriously Injured in Crash
PELHAM -- A 49-year-old Hudson man suffered life-threatening injuries in a serious crash that closed Greeley Road for more than two hours Friday night.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation, police said.
Police and fire personnel responded to the crash at 11:11 p.m. Friday on Greeley Road in the area of Marsh Road, where they found a blue 2000 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck with heavy front-end damage.
According to police, the driver struck a large tree and was pinned in between the dashboard and the front seat. Firefighters worked for nearly 30 minutes using the Jaws of Life to remove him from the truck.
The man was transported to Lowell General Hospital, and from there he was sent to Tufts Medical Center for further medical attention.
Greeley Road was shut down for more than two hours for crash reconstruction.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact investigating Officer Mark Riddinger at 603-635-2411.
