SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) _ Carolyn Jones scored 25 points and Kara Wolters had 15 of her 22 in the final eight minutes Tuesday as the New England Blizzard beat the Atlanta Glory 93-82.

Four of Jones' points came in a 9-0 New England run late in the third quarter that put the Blizzard up 52-45.

Wolters block led to a Karen Deden layup and gave New England (22-20) its biggest lead at 69-57 with 7:43 left.

The Glory (15-26) countered with a final run and got to 69-64 on a Katrina McClain jumper. But Jones' 3-pointer and Wolters' 13 points with 5:42 left iced the win. It was the Blizzard's ninth-straight home victory.

Dale Hodges had 18 points and Deden 16 for New England. Jones also had a career-high seven steals.

Stacey Lovelace led Atlanta (15-26) with 25 points. The Glory had been elminated from playoff contention when they lost in Philadelphia on Sunday.

New England will open the playoffs Feb. 20 in Hartford and will likely play San Jose or Colorado.
