Drivers Killed in Christmas Eve Crash on I-70 ID’d; 6-year-old Remains Hospitalized
The Colorado State Patrol has identified the individuals involved in a Christmas Eve crash on Interstate 70 near Genesee that left two people dead and a 6-year-old girl in critical condition.
Sancy Shaw, 38, of Clark was killed in the crash after 62-year-old Cheri Goodard lost control, veered across the median and hit Shaw’s vehicle, according to the state patrol.
Goodard, of Frederick, also died in the crash.
A 6-year-old girl who was riding in Shaw’s vehicle remains hospitalized.
Alcohol or marijuana are believed to have played a factor in the crash, officials said.
