Police: Scranton Man Stabbed After Assaulting Woman
A city man faces charges after police said he strangled a woman and ended up stabbed.
City police responded to 1109 Curtis Lane to find Christian Clark, 21, bleeding. Clark said he’d been stabbed. A woman inside told police Clark was angry about something posted about him on Facebook and an argument ensued. Then Clark spit on her and grabbed her by the throat, police said. She got free, grabbed a knife and stabbed Clark when he came at her with scissors, according to court documents. Clark denied choking or strangling her, but witnesses corroborated the woman’s account, police said.
Clark is charged with strangulation and other offenses. He is held in Lackawanna County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 8.
