Brown Pots 3 Goals in Nashoba Victory
The red-hot Nashoba Regional field hockey team rolled to a 7-0 victory over Groton-Dunstable Wednesday evening in Bolton to qualify for postseason play.
Nashoba (9-0) was led by Natalie Brown’s first-half hat trick, as five players found the back of the cage in the contest.
Katie Conlin (assist), Erica Spallone and Maggie Salmon scored and freshman Allie Jones potted her first varsity goal.

Cassie Skinner scored twice and Frankie Alley (assist) and Abbey Sallila each added single goals for the Bulldogs (4-6, 2-4 CAL). Caitlyn Florio added 2 assists.
Jenna Morse made 11 saves to preserve the tie for Lunenburg (5-3-2), while midfielder Emily Dumford also played well.
North Middlesex 2
Payton Fitzsimmons scored twice for Gardner, while Shelley Lielasus and Maggie Hackler notched goals for the visiting Patriots.

Gavin Cloutier carded a 36 at Shaker Hills to lead Lunenburg (6-5-1), while teammate Braydon Gendron added a 38.
Ayer Shirley (3-5-1) was paced by Brandon Vachon’s 42.
North Middlesex 30
Mike Amari carded a 1-over 36 at Townsend Ridge to lead the Patriots (2-6). Chris Larsen (38), Nic Miller (41) and Sean Hayward (41) also contributed to the win.

The Red Raiders (3-6) won by set scores of 25-14, 25-19, 25-15.
Seniors Diandra Boddie (11 aces, kill, assist) and Marissa Ramos (5 aces, kill) led the way for Fitchburg. Sophomore Amanda Sanchez contributed 4 kills and 9 assists and junior Valentina Rosas added 6 assists.
Emma Soubosky and Jillian Vettese played well for the Bernardians (1-8).

Boys’ cross country
Michael Alleva finished second overall and Benjamin Sweet added an eighth-place finish for Lunenburg.
Girls’ cross country
Lauren Long claimed second for the Blue Knights, while Abby Rodriquez finished fourth. Ava Pilon (seventh), Grace Roy (eighth), Keena Kelly (ninth) and Gabby Maia (10th) also ran well in defeat.
