Jogger found safe after search near Chattahoochee River
JOHNS CREEK, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a jogger who went missing in woods near the Chattahoochee River was found safe when he returned home in the middle of the night.
Forsyth County sheriff’s officials say hundreds of volunteers helped search for 19-year-old Byron Grogan on Tuesday. He had gone to Chattahoochee Pointe Park in the Johns Creek area for a run, and his car was found abandoned near the Chattahoochee River.
The sheriff’s office said on its Facebook page early Wednesday that the agency is investigating the circumstances of his disappearance.
