44-year-old woman killed in Pioneer Crossing crash
An early morning crash Saturday took the life of an Eagle Mountain mother and wife.
Julia Perez, 44, died Saturday after the black passenger car she was in crashed into a dump truck at the intersection of 2300 West and Pioneer Crossing. According to Lehi Police Sgt. Robert Marshall, Perez was in the front passenger seat. Her husband and two children were also in the car. They were transported to the hospital in stable condition following the crash.
Marshall said witnesses saw the dump truck cross Pioneer Crossing northbound from 2300 West on a green light. The passenger car, traveling on Pioneer Crossing went through the red light and T-boned the truck. Police were called to the scene at about 7:45 a.m. Saturday.
