Man Charged with Stabbing

LOWELL -- A 29-year-old Lowell man has been arrested for stabbing a man in the Acre neighborhood Saturday night.

Police charged Jonathan Ramos, of 5 Hampshire Place, with armed assault with intent to murder and armed assault in a dwelling, according to Lowell police Capt. James Hodgdon.

The unidentified victim was taken to Lowell General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Hodgdon said.

Emergency crews responded to 19 Garin Terrace shortly before 8 p.m. following reports of an assault inside.

The victim suffered a single stab wound to his abdomen.

Police identified Ramos as a suspect shortly after the incident and arrested the 29-year-old at his home.

Ramos will be arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court.
