MACON, Miss. (AP) — One person faces charges for the drive-by shooting of a Mississippi sheriff’s son.
WTVA-TV reports Terrance Fiffer has been charged with attempted murder in the Dec. 21 shooting of Roman Mattox, the son of Noxubee County Sheriff Terry Grassaree. Grassaree says his son, who was shot in the chest, is listed in stable condition at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Fiffer is being held in the Clay County jail. It’s unknown if he has an attorney.
Macon Police Chief Davine Beck says more arrests could occur in the case. Beck says investigators are working to get the name of the person who allegedly was with Fiffer at the time.
