CHRIS BROWN DOES NOT ATTEND MEETING WITH RAPE ACCUSER
PARIS (AP) _ Chris Brown did not show up to a formal meeting yesterday in Paris with the woman who’s accusing him of rape. His lawyer says it was a scheduling conflict, while the woman’s lawyer says Brown has no respect for the law. Brown was arrested in January but allowed to leave France without charge while the woman’s allegations were investigated. The woman says Brown and two other men raped her at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Paris, which Brown denies. Attorney Gloria Allred, who represents the woman, says Brown “has thumbed his nose at” the French legal system. Brown’s French lawyer, Raphael Chiche, says he had let French authorities know that Brown could not make the date and Brown does not want to escape his responsibilities. The other two suspects -- Brown’s friend and Brown’s bodyguard -- did not attend the meeting either.

LOUIS TOMLINSON EXPLAINS WHY HE’S AGAINST ONE DIRECTION COLLABORATIONS
LONDON (AP) _ You’d think it would be a gimme for the members of One Direction to be guest musicians on each other’s records. Louis (LOO’-ee) Tomlinson believes that’s cheating the fans. He says it “might feel cheap when you’ve only got half of the main thing.” He says if he were a fan, he’d want all or nothing. Besides, Tomlinson says each of them is making different kinds of solo music, so it would be tough to align. He does feel they owe it to fans to reunite, but he does not know when. Tomlinson says they talk every six to eight weeks, and for a time, he ran into Liam Payne four or five times in a month.
