Free hernia screening event
Free Hernia Screenings will be held 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. today at the Medical Center Hospital Cone Building) at the corner of Third Street and Alleghaney Avenue.
Walk-ins are encouraged as no appointment is needed.
Common symptoms for a hernia are nausea, groin pain or a bulge in your lower abdomen. A person experiencing these symptoms may put off being screened for fear that they may in fact have a hernia. Hernias do not go away. They need to be addressed and repaired.
Dr. Don Davenport and Dr. Darren Glass will be on site during the free screening, conducting the screenings and answering questions about the hernia repair process.
