Man shot, killed in north Topeka home, police say
TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a suspect in a deadly Topeka shooting.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that the 32-year-old suspect was booked into jail early Tuesday on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of 35-year-old David William Payne, of Topeka.
Officers responded just after 6 p.m. Monday to a report of a shooting at a home in the northern part of the city. Payne was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.
