Pocatello/Chubbuck School District selects Stuart Johnson as assistant principal of Irving Middle School

May 1, 2019

Pocatello/Chubbuck School District 25 (PCSD 25) is pleased to announce the selection of Stuart Johnson as the Assistant Principal of Irving Middle School. Mr. Johnson will replace Ms. Amy Bowie, who will assume a new role as Irving’s Principal on July 1, 2019.

Stuart Johnson joins Irving from Tyhee Elementary School, where he has been serving as the Principal for the past five years. Mr. Johnson appreciated the opportunity to work with the great staff, learners, and parents at Tyhee. He takes pride in the positive culture that exists between all stakeholders within the Tyhee community. Over the past five years, Tyhee has focused on Visible Learning, Growth Mindset, and cultivating positive relationships. He believes that all learners can show growth and each child can experience success. Before joining the staff at Tyhee, he taught at The New Horizon Center for four years. He spent one of those years as the school’s turnaround officer. Mr. Johnson received his Bachelor’s degree from Idaho State University in 2008, and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Idaho in 2013. While he looks forward with excitement to joining the staff at Irving Middle School, Mr. Johnson will miss the many friendships he formed at Tyhee.

“Stuart Johnson’s administrative experience will be a bonus for the learners and staff at Irving Middle School,” said Jan Harwood, Director of Secondary Education. “We are excited to have Mr. Johnson join our team of secondary administrators.”
