Legos at the library

January 28, 2019

BURLINGTON — The Burlington Public Library kicked off its new monthly Adult Library Programs night Tuesday with a Lego Challenge.

Librarian Anne Booker proctored the “It was a dark and stormy night”-themed Lego building challenge that included two teams of three friends each, plus a solo entrant.

The teams were given 30 minutes to build any Lego construction based on the theme. After the time was up, each team member was allowed two votes for the best entry, one of which had to be applied to another team’s creation. Votes for best entry were also cast by library staff.

The team with the winning entry was a group of friends including Allyce Nelson of Burlington, and Kathryn Paulsness and Carl Dinse of Everett with their model of a spooky hospital.

The next event, Board Game Night, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19. All events are free and open to adults ages 18 and older.
