BYU Homecoming - 127 years
Each year, alumni and Cougar fans return to Provo for BYU’s homecoming celebration, though it could be argued that the entire BYU football season is one of the most attended events in Utah County.
The celebration originally began at BYU as Founder’s Day in 1891 to remember those who had established Brigham Young Academy. The first Homecoming event was held in 1930, and was celebrated with a football game and a parade from the beginning.
This year, BYU’s Homecoming Week will be held Oct. 9-13, with a week of fun events, culminating with the BYU football game against Hawai’i.
