Burglaries, thefts reported around county

IRONTON — The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports:

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A 54-year-old Proctorville area woman reported last week that someone broke into a building and ended up leaving their shoes, but taking a pistol, fishing equipment, tools and a motor. The items were valued at $1,251. Sheriff deputies subsequently arrested Brittany L. Keller, 32, who is homeless, and Brandon Rice, 32, who also is homeless. Both were transported to jail.

BURGLARY: A 44-year-old Ironton area woman reported earlier this month that someone pushed his way into her home and tried to take a bicycle and lawnmower. Authorities arrested Seth Harrison, 41, of South Point, on a charge of burglary and transported him to jail.

DRUG TRAFFICKING: Following a traffic stop last week, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Seth N. Thompson, 27, of the 1900 block of Dixon Street, Ashland, on a charge of trafficking in drugs and transported him to jail.

DRUG ARREST: Following a traffic stop last week, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Justin E. Clay, 27, of Hecla Street, Ironton, on a charge of possession of drugs and transported him to jail.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT: A sheriff’s deputy earlier this month arrested Seth Harrison, 41, of Township Road 1377, South Point, on a charge of theft of a motor vehicle and transported him to jail.

HORSE THEFTS: A 41-yearold Scottown area woman reported last week that someone stole two of her horses from her property. The horses were valued at $2,500.

IDENTITY FRAUD: Following a traffic stop Saturday, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Michael Tyler Meadows, 30, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on a charge of identify fraud and transported him to jail.

DRUG POSSESSION: Following a traffic stop Monday, a sheriff’s deputy arrested David W. Napier, 43, of Sidney, Ohio, and Ronald L. Frye, 27, of Wayne, West Virginia, on charges of possession of drugs (meth) and transported them to jail.

THEFT: A 64-year-old Scottown, man reported last week that someone stole his 2018 Pioneer side by side valued at $9,000.

THEFT: A 47-year-old Chesapeake area man reported last week that someone stole his riding lawnmower valued at $2,000.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: A representative of Bride of Christ United Baptist Church in the Chesapeake area reported earlier this month that someone broke into the building and took out a safe and broke it open.
