HUNTINGTON — A Huntington man was charged with several violent crimes Monday after he allegedly attempted to rob a Huntington nail salon.

Skylar Larcart, 20, was jailed at 9:15 p.m. Monday. The Huntington Police Department charged him with five counts of wanton endangerment and the single count of first-degree robbery. His bond was $200,000 cash-only.

Huntington Police said Larcart was in a nail salon in the 700 block of 9th Avenue in Huntington on Monday when a disagreement over a cell phone occurred. He left the business and returned less than an hour later.

According to a criminal complaint filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court, Larcart allegedly walked back into the salon and immediately demanded money from the store’s employee for the phone.

When the employees denied the request, Larcart allegedly pulled a pistol from his pants pocket and threatened the employees and customers by allegedly stating he was going to hunt them down and call a “sicario,” a hitman or hired killer, to have them wiped out.

Victims told police they were fearful for the safety because of the incident.

Larcart is currently housed at Western Regional Jail in Barboursville.
