Scranton Woman Dies After Scranton Crash
SCRANTON — A 38-year-old city woman died Wednesday after a car crash in Scranton’s Hill Section, authorities said.
Police were called to the scene at about 10:30 a.m., Police Chief Carl Graziano said.
The victim, who was not identified by officials, drove west on Pine Street near North Washington Avenue when she jumped the curb, struck a tree and rear-ended a parked car, pushing it into the car parked in front of it, according to Scranton police Lt. Marty Crofton.
Police are still investigating; an autopsy is scheduled for today.
“There’s no known cause at this point,” Graziano said.
