Trump’s Immigrant Background

Editor: On Oct. 17, 1885, a 16-year-old from Germany named Friedrich Trump, an unaccompanied minor, was granted immigration status in the United States. Under the proposed Trump Immigration Policy, Trump’s own grandfather would not have been allowed to enter our country. Currently, there seems to be a growing number of people who are beginning to think that may have been a good idea. As far as the president’s current handling of the immigration problems our country is experiencing, there also seems to be a growing number of people who are questioning: How many children have to be separated from their parents, caged, tattooed like prison inmates, gassed, and, as we have witnessed most recently, allowed to die? How many, Mr. Trump, before we can be finished with this Make America Great Again disaster? Andrea Glod WILKES-BARRE
