December 26, 2018

JOHNSON CREEK — Andrew Eichstaedt scored six of his 10 points in overtime as Johnson Creek improved to 4-4 on the season with a 65-59 nonconference win against Princeton/Green Lake on Friday.

Senior guard Cole Ducklow added a 3-pointer in overtime for the last of his game-high 23 points for the Bluejays.

“Cole was great on defense all night,” Johnson Creek boys basketball coach Ryan Lind said. “He took two charges. He sat for 10 minutes of the first half with two fouls, so he basically sat for one-fourth of the game and was awesome.

“Drew (Eichstaedt) made some huge plays in the second half and overtime to seal it. Alex (Garza) and Jamison (Reichardt) made timely plays and guarded some tough matchups, but both did great.”

The Bluejays host Horicon on Friday.
