Arrest made in fatal shooting of teen girl in Atlantic City
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have made an arrest in the fatal shooting of a teenage girl at an Atlantic City home.
But details about what happened at the residence have not been disclosed.
Atlantic County prosecutors say 18-year-old Nahquil Lovest, of Pleasantville, was arrested without incident Friday morning and charged with murder. It wasn’t known if he’s retained an attorney.
The arrest came a day after 15-year-old Naimah Bell was found shot in the head. Police found the Pleasantville girl inside the Massachusetts Avenue home after a 911 caller reported the shooting.
The shooting is being investigated as a homicide, but a possible motive hasn’t been released.
No other injuries were reported in the shooting.
Bell’s death marks the seventh fatal shooting in the city this year and the third to involve teenagers.
