Green Briar Organics to host workshop during winter farmers’ market
SCOTTSBLUFF — This Saturday at the Winter Scottsbluff Farmers Market, there will be 23 vendors selling local honey, fresh eggs, locally grown beef and pork, and much more. Peaceful Prairie Nursery will have succulents available to buy or plant them right there at the market. The Winter Farmers Market will have a workshop at noon, with Green Briar Organics, to discuss microgreens and how to use them in your everyday meals.
Nonprofit this week is the fourth annual KRB Benefit Volleyball Tournament for the family of Tasha Torres. Please come and be supportive. The market will have its “market basket” to raffle off to raise money. Buy one ticket for $5 or three tickets for $10.
The community has been great for shopping locally. There are only two more winter markets left in March. Then the 18th Street Farmers Market will begin in June and the Morrill Farmers’ Market will start in July.
The Scottsbluff Winter Farmers Market runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at The Old Village Garden Center, 1400 E. 20th St., Scottsbluff. The Winter Farmers Market runs the first and third Saturdays of each month.
