Northeast Nebraska kids headed to Washington D.C. for pro-life march
NORFOLK - Two buses left Norfolk Tuesday filled with kids heading to Washington D.C. for a pro-life march.
Director of Teen Ministries with Sacred Heart Parish Lanette Otero said they will arrive Wednesday around 5.
Otero said the purpose of the trip is to protect the life of the unborn.
“We’re doing this to stand up to the vulnerable, the ones that nobody sees, and to tell people how we should respect life at all stages of development from conception to natural death. There’s some suffering involved too which includes getting on this bus for 26 hours filled with kids, and trying to sleep on the bus, but we do it all voluntarily for the unborn.”
Otero said they will spend some time at the U.S. Senate building and put in some good words there for the unborn.
The march is set for Friday.
