Ralcorp Names President of Largest Subsidiary
ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Ralcorp Holdings said Friday it named James A. Nichols president of Ralston Foods, its largest subsidiary. Nichols had been president of the company’s Beech-Nut Nutrition Corp. baby food business.
Ralston Foods is the leading maker of private-label breakfast cereals in the United States, generating $670 million in sales in 1995.
Andrew R. Bresler was named to succeed Nichols as president of Beech-Nut. Bresler had been in charge of the Ralston Foods cereal marketing group since 1991.
Ralcorp Holdings also owns Bremner, maker of private-label crackers and cookies, and the Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Breckenridge ski resorts in Colorado. It was spun-off from Ralston Purina, the world’s leading pet food maker, last year.
