Sigfox U.S.A. President Christian Olivier to Present at IoT Summit Chicago
BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov 26, 2018--Christian Olivier, President of Sigfox U.S.A., the U.S. network operator for the global Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) connectivity provider Sigfox, will be presenting at IoT Summit Chicago, taking place Nov. 27-28 at the W Chicago City Center. Olivier will join a panel of global communication experts who will be addressing the IoT opportunity for enterprise and industrial applications in the United States, and the path to deploy large-scale IoT solutions.
Sigfox U.S.A. is building Sigfox’s LPWAN across the U.S. to enable businesses and industries to operate with greater agility by harnessing data derived from IoT devices. In just three years the public, energy efficient and cost-effective network has deployed in 24 major U.S. metros, including the Greater Chicago Area, covering 30 percent of the national population. As Sigfox U.S.A. continues to expand the network, it has also established an IoT ecosystem to propel the commercialization and adoption of IoT-enabled applications that meet the needs of U.S. enterprises and industries.
“Businesses are starting to see the benefits of mass-scale IoT solutions for themselves,” said Olivier. “As we build our network and field tested industrialized devices emerge, companies are testing IoT solutions and implementing internal processes to streamline their operations stemming from the data these solutions provide. Liking what they see from the test, businesses are now moving from curiosity to adoption and driving demand for new solutions to address all sorts of issues within their business, such as regulatory compliance and remote asset monitoring. The IoT Summit is a fantastic forum, in the heart of the U.S. industrial region, to connect with business leaders, help them navigate their IoT solution deployment and understand the competitive advantage IoT offers.”
Now in its sixth year, the IoT Summit Chicago explores the technical and non-technical reasons inhibiting and enabling the progression from pilots to production within the IoT space. This year’s summit will focus on substantive learning, specifically, three pillars of IoT: architecture, people and process.
Olivier will speak on a panel, “The Impact of Wireless Communications Technologies on IoT Solutions,” taking place on Nov. 27 at 10:35 a.m. CT. He will be joined by Achim Buecklers, VP of Sales at Qualcomm, Olivier Pauzet, VP and GM of the IoT Solutions Business Line at Sierra Wireless and David Smith, CTO of Multitech. Rafael Salmi, Global President and GM of Richardson RFPD, will moderate the panel.
