Cone Zones: Dec. 28, 2018
South Pratt Parkway: South Pratt Parkway remains reduced to one lane in each direction between Boston and Delaware avenues during bridge replacement work.
Arapahoe Avenue: Continuing work on landscaping, curbs and an underpass beneath Arapahoe Avenue will result in intermittent daytime closings and detours on Arapahoe between 17th Street and Broadway through early 2019.
Fourmile Canyon Drive: Construction in Fourmile Canyon, which was shut down during the holidays, will resume Wednesday. Cycling restrictions are lifted during the work stoppage. When work resumes, motorists can again expect single-lane closings from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m weekdays as construction crews work on a flood-recovery and drainage project on a segment of Fourmile Canyon Drive from a point about a mile north of Colo. 119 to Poorman Road. Recreational cycling will not be permitted on Fourmile during weekdays when construction resumes, although residents of the area who have county-issued passes can cycle for commuting and errands. There will be two-hour weekday closures in upper Fourmile Canyon, west of Emerson Gulch Road to Sunset from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. when work resumes.
North Boulder County Line Road/Larimer County Road 2: Motorists can expect daytime weekday closings at the Little Thompson River while culverts are replaced at the river crossing toward the western end of the road near North 83rd Street and Boulder County Road 23E. A complete closure of North County Line Road across the river is expected has begun and is expected to last through Jan. 9. No trucks, cars or bikes will be allowed over the river during that closure. North County Line/LCR 2 residents with driveways west of the river will need to use North 83rd Street/County Road 23E; North County Line/LCR 2 residents with driveways east of the river will need to use North 95th Street/County Road 21.
South Boulder Road: Utility work to bury overhead electrical lines along South Boulder Road and 120th Street is anticipated to run through April 2019. The construction area includes South Boulder Road east of Saratoga Drive to 120th Street, and 120th Street north and south of the South Boulder Road intersection. Construction will be weather-dependent and occur from 7 a.m. to dusk weekdays. Work will include traffic lane width reductions, as well as periodic lane closures. Drivers should expect delays and are asked to drive with caution while in the area.
Coal Creek Trail: Coal Creek Trail is closed between McCaslin Boulevard and the U.S. 36 Bikeway while improvements are made to the Coal Creek corridor. The closure will be in place for about six months. A signed detour is available to guide bicyclists and pedestrians through downtown Superior.
