Freitas-Attah Bout Postponed
Ancelino Freitas, the WBA and WBO 130-pound champion, injured his hand during training, forcing a postponement of his June 1 fight with Daniel Attah.
The bout has been rescheduled for Aug. 3. The fight was originally to take place in Chicago, but promoter Art Pellullo said Wednesday other possible venues have opened because of the new date.
Freitas aggravated an injury to his right hand while training in Brazil and will require treatment for a month, the promoter said.
Attah, of Washington, is the WBO’s No. 1 mandatory challenger.
