WATCH: Redskins, Jets get chippy in first day of joint practices

August 12, 2018

RICHMOND It didn’t take long for the Washington Redskins and New York Jets to engage in some extracurricular sideline activity at their first joint practice Sunday.

A few brief tussles popped up around the pair of fields. But after Redskins tackle Morgan Moses was reportedly the recipient of a late hit, Trent Williams came to his defense.

The fight began on one sideline where there were more Jets standing than Redskins, but players from both teams left the practice field to join in.

Coach Jay Gruden personally escorted Moses off the field, and Williams was briefly going the same direction alongside a Jets coach, but Williams turned back to the field and walked along the Jets sideline, perhaps to get a final word in.

Terrelle Pryor and Josh Norman nearly got into a fight, themselves, but it didn’t materialize into something bigger. Of course, there are two full days of joint practices to go.
