Three Floridians injured in Winona County crash

WINONA — A two-car collision left three Floridians injured Thursday in Winona County.

Peter Kleinschmidt, 55, of Rochester was northbound on U.S. Highway 43 in a 2001 Ford pickup when a 2008 Nissan Versa entered the intersection at the Interstate 90 ramp. The two vehicles collided.

The driver of the Nissan, Johanna Silver, 26, of Cooper City, Fla., was in the car with David and Debra Silver, also of Cooper City, both of unknown ages. All three were transported to Winona Heath with non-life threatening injuries.

Kleinschmidt was not injured.

The Lewiston Police and Fire Departments as well as the Winona County Sheriffs Office assisted.
