Pocatello woman accused of firing unloaded gun at people
POCATELLO — A 25-year-old Pocatello woman is accused of firing an unloaded gun toward people on Monday night.
Pocatello police say Harley A. Cook had a 9 mm handgun at a trailer park on the 300 block of West Griffith Road. She was allegedly pointing the gun in several directions and dancing in the street.
Multiple witnesses reported that Cook pointed the weapon at them and pulled the trigger, causing the gun to dry fire. Cook told police that she pointed the gun in the air and at the ground but not at any people.
Cook has been charged with a misdemeanor for exhibiting or using a deadly weapon, according to Bannock County Magistrate Court records. Her arraignment is scheduled for April 17.
