NWS releases rainfall totals for the region
Unofficial rainfall totals have been released by the National Weather Service following about 21 hours of on and off rain across the region.
In Fairfield County, Danbury saw around 2.36 inches of rain and Bethel had 0.81 inches. These were the only two measurements available for Connecticut.
There were 24 towns and cities measured for rainfall in New Jersey. North/northeast Secaucus in Hudson County saw the most rain out of the measured areas in the state — 2.76 inches — and eastern Westwood in Bergen County saw the least amount of rain — 0.57 inches.
Thirty-one towns and cities were measured in New York. Totals in Richmond County saw the most rain out of the areas measured in the state with 4.37 inches. And Whitestone in Queens County saw the least amount of rain among the measured areas with half an inch.
