UConn women announce home-and-home games against Oregon
Two of women’s college basketball’s power programs will soon reunite on the hardwood.
UConn announced Friday it has agreed to a future home-and-home series with Oregon. The Huskies will host the Ducks in 2019-20 with the return game taking place in 2021-22 in Oregon. Dates and times have yet to be announced.
The Huskies are 3-0 all-time against Oregon, with the most recent meeting coming in the 2017 Elite Eight in Bridgeport. UConn won that matchup 90-52 to advance to the Final Four for the 10th straight season.
Behind All-American point guard Sabrina Ionescu, Oregon went 33-5 and won the Pac 12 title last season. The Ducks were beaten 84-74 by eventual national champion Notre Dame in the Elite Eight.
The Huskies previously announced plans to renew their rivalry with Tennessee, beginning in 2019-20 at home. The two teams will meet in Knoxville in 2020-21.
