Snow, Cold Temperatures Likely Saturday Night and Sunday in Boulder County

The National Weather Service is calling for snow to begin falling in Boulder County around 8 p.m. on Saturday evening.

The agency is forecasting anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of snow overnight with a low temperature of about 21 degrees. A 90 percent chance of precipitation exists on Saturday night and during the day on Sunday, when another 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible, likely before 5 p.m.

Temperatures could plummet to about 12 degrees on Sunday night, and local meteorologist said in a blog post that it is likely that record low temperatures are likley through the Front Range urban corridor on Monday. The current low temperature record in Boulder on Oct. 15 is 20 degrees.

The skies are expected to clear on Monday, and the high temperature should be around 37 degrees.
