Senior reflection

May 24, 2019

When I finished my junior year of high school, a number of people told me, “enjoy your senior year because it will go fast.” There is more truth to that statement than I could ever have imagined.

With my last days of high school approaching, I can’t help but think of all the great memories that were made this past year and how fast it all went by.

Perhaps the highlight from my senior year was my basketball season. This year, we advanced to the PIAA Final Four in the Class A State Tournament. We never imagined a high school consisting of 36 girls could advance that far in the state tournament.

I made so many memories this past basketball season, and I will never forget the bond I have with my teammates and coaches.

Another great memory from my senior year was our Senior Class Trip to Niagara Falls, New York. Our class had a great time spending the weekend together and became even closer than we were before. We made memories that will last a lifetime.

As I look back on my entire high school career, I would like to thank my family for always encouraging me to do my best in every activity. The support I received from my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles was invaluable.

I would also like to thank my coaches and teachers for pushing me to do my best in my school work and athletics. I definitely would not be where I am today without their dedication and constant support.

I plan to attend Mount Aloysius College to major in nursing and play soccer. I know this will be possible to achieve because of the great support from everyone around me.

I am definitely going to miss high school and all of the friends and memories I made. Although I will miss this important chapter of my life, I couldn’t be more excited for what the future holds.
