Susquehanna's Deakin Scores 1,000th Point

Mason Deakin scored

17 points, including the 1,000th of his career, to lead Susquehanna to a 70-34 win over Blue Ridge in the first round of the Denise Reddon/Jill Hoffman Christmas Tournament on Thursday.

Deakin reached the milestone on a 3-pointer in the third quarter. C.J. Stone had

14 points for the Sabers and Bryce Baldwin added 13.

Carson Koehler led Blue Ridge with nine points.

Susquehanna will play Montrose in the championship game today at 7 p.m. Blue Ridge will play Elk Lake in the consolation game at 5.
