Brandon Lee “Big Country” Williamson, 38, of Manteno, passed away Sunday (April 14, 2019) at his home in Manteno.

He was born May 4, 1980, in Kankakee, the son of Lana Denoyer (Michael) White and Martin L. Haney.

Brandon was self employed.

He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for one year and the U.S. Navy for three years.

Brandon was an MMA heavyweight champion and power lifting champion. He was a jack of all trades, played softball and loved adventures with his children. Brandon had a Facebook page called “Daddy Does My Hair,” which has many followers.

He attended Cornerstone Church, Manteno Campus.

Surviving are his daughters, Brenna Williamson and Alexandra Overaker; sons, Henry Lee Williamson and Bryce Overaker; sisters, Myriah Williamson, of St. Anne, and Nicole M. White, of St. Anne; brothers and sisters-in-law, John M. (Fran) Haney, of Manteno, and Michael (Andrea) White, of St. Anne; two nephews, Gage D. White, of Navarre, Fla., and Wyatt Battermann, of St. Anne; along with many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Preceding him in death were his father, Thomas L. Williamson; a nephew, Cullen White; and grandparents, Raymond and Vivian Denoyer, LeRoy and Marylen Williamson and Howard and Hazel Haney.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Thursday, April 18, until the 7 p.m. funeral service at Brown-Jensen Funeral Home, 21 N. Main St., Manteno, with the Rev. John Hines of the Cornerstone Church, Manteno Campus, officiating.

Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family. A trust fund will be set up in the children’s names for their education.
