NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police continue to search for two women who they say slashed a man at an Upper Manhattan subway station over dispute about sneakers.
WABC-TV reports the attack happened at the 207th Street station Wednesday afternoon. Police say the suspects became upset after the 24-year-old victim stepped on one of the women’s shoes. Police say the women followed the man, beat him with their purses and slashed him with a box cutter.
The man was treated for cuts to his back and arm.
Police have released a surveillance image of one of the suspects.
No arrests have been made. An investigation continues.
