Help sought finding dog suspected in two bite incidents

August 28, 2018

BULLHEAD CITY — Animal Care and Welfare officers are seeking a dog and its owner after two recent dog bites.

On Saturday, ACW received a report of a dog bite occurring around noon near the intersection of Riverview Drive and Highway 95. A stray dog bit a woman on her buttocks as she was walking in the area.

The dog was described as a medium to large size, all grey, Dane mix. The dog took off running toward Rotary Park.

An 11-year-old girl was bitten on her arm Sunday by a dog matching the same description in the same location.

Officers searched the area but couldn’t find the dog, which will be subject to standard quarantine procedures.

If anyone has information that could lead to finding the animal, call the Bureau of Animal Care and Welfare at 928-763-6000.
