TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ Minnesota Vikings Coach Jerry Burns said today that Wade Wilson will start ahead ofmmy Kramer at quarterback in Saturday's NFL playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers.

''This is not as big a deal as you (reporters) make it to be,'' Burns said. ''I've talked to both quarterbacks, reiterated to them that I've got complete confidence in both of them. I've made the decision to start Wade Wilson.''

He said that the game plan and potentially sloppy field conditions at San Francisco's Candlestick Park influenced his decision, but would not go into the specifics of his decision.

''At the conclusion of the game, you can ask why I did it,'' Burns said. ''If we win, my decision will be justified. If we lose, you will have your opinion.''

He said he anticipated that both quarterbacks would play, but again would not go into specifics on what situation would best suit each player.

Both Wilson and Kramer were shaken up in last week's 44-10 wild card playoff victory over the New Orleans Saints.

Wilson suffered a mild concussion but has said he is 100 percent fit.

Kramer reaggravated a pinched nerve in his neck that has bothered him all season and is not sure he can play an entire game. He has started six games this season, but had to be replaced by Wilson in every one.
