Breaking: Semi loses load, closes road temporarily southeast of DeKalb
DeKALB – A semi-tractor trailor lost its load of concrete slabs Tuesday afternoon, shutting down an already-slippery, miserable corridor southeast of the city.
Perry Road was closed near its intersection with Somonauk Road, but was nearly cleaned up and was reopened around 3 p.m.
The roads in the southeastern part of the county are snow-covered, icy, and the wind is starting to whip. According to the National Weather Service, the wind will gust out of the west until 3 a.m. Wednesday.
