ELYRIA, Ohio (AP) _ Invacare Corp. (IVC) on Tuesday reported a loss of $16.5 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Elyria, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 50 cents. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 41 cents per share.

The wheelchair, crutches and motorized scooter company posted revenue of $246.2 million in the period.

Invacare shares have increased 4.5 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $17.60, a climb of 20 percent in the last 12 months.
