Campaign to tackler hunger generates more than 76,000 meals
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — The New Hampshire Food Bank says high schools that collected money during football games are among the contributions that have helped generate more than 76,000 meals for the hungry.
The New Hampshire Tackles Hunger food drive generated over 94,000 pounds of food.
The New Hampshire Food Bank, the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association and WMUR-TV launched New Hampshire Tackles Hunger six years ago.
Since then, over 361,000 pounds of food has been collected for local food pantries.
