Aug. 31, 1918: Highway Engineer Instructs All County Authorities To Attend To Gates And Cattle Guards On Road.

The state highway engineer sent out a letter Friday to all the boards of county commissioners on the question of highways across public lands, the creation of gates and cattle guards.

Aug. 31, 1993: Andres Valdez, executive director of an Albuquerque-based police watchdog group, says Santa Fe City Councilor Debbie Jaramillo has threatened him, slandered him, used profane language and told him to stay out of Santa Fe. Although Jaramillo denies having used profane language, she said on Monday that she did tell Valdez last Thursday to cease his “divisive” behavior or not attend the meetings of the citizens roundtable to discuss relations between police and the community.
