Budgets, Jack Smith Park usage, Safe and Sane fireworks on city council’s May 28 agenda
NEEDLES — The public may provide comments on a plan to increase free day usage at Jack Smith Park for those who don’t bring a boat during the regular meeting of the Needles City Council and Needles Public Utility Authority on May 28.
Regular sessions begin at 6 p.m. in council chambers at 1111 Bailey Ave.
Proposed budgets for the city and utility authority will be discussed, and possibly acted on, in a discretionary agenda item. Also listed as a discretionary item is an ordinance update which might allow use of off-highway motor vehicles on roads within the city.
A second reading and adoption of an ordinance permitting sales and use of Safe and Sane fireworks in the city and a bevy of time extensions for conditional use permits for marijuana facilities come up for a vote on the consent calendar.
An unspecified presentation by the Laughlin Economic Development Corporation is to be heard early in the meeting as an informational item.
