Activities abound as summer turns to fall in Cane Island

September 23, 2018

As summertime relaxation in poolside cabanas slowly gives way to shorter days and ultimately cooler fall temperatures, Cane Island’s tree-lined Cane Quarter will continue to be a hub of activity for fitness center workouts, yoga classes, lap pool conditioning or simply fireside camaraderie with neighbors.

Residents looking to keep in tip-top summer shape enjoy the use of a two-story, 24-hour fitness center featuring the most advanced equipment along with luxurious, spa-like men’s and women’s locker rooms.

Cane Island’s fitness center offers a first floor of treadmills, elliptical and stationary bikes with touch-screen console technology, while an ample selection of free weights and resistance machines is available upstairs.

Residents also enjoy Cane Quarter’s year-round lap pool and spacious, 24-hour yoga studio where more than 200 on-demand classes are presented on a drop-down projection screen.

Of course, when it comes to Cane Quarter, it’s not all about fitness. Fall nights bring out family S’mores outings by the fire pit, resident clubs in the conservatory, picnics on the lawn, sunset views from the cozy fireplace loft and movie nights under the stars.

Opened in spring 2015, the 1,200-acre community presents homes from the mid-$200,000s from several award-winning builders. Cane Island, the 2016 GHBA Community of the Year, provides the convenience of I-10 access west of Grand Parkway, proximity to major west Houston employers and Katy ISD schools, including the new Bryant Elementary.

The Katy community of new homes also offers a custom-home neighborhood, The Estates at Cane Island, featuring half-acre homesites with spectacular lakefront views and forested settings.

To learn more about Cane Island, visit any of the community’s 14 showcase model homes, open daily for public tours, or go to CaneIsland.com.
